π Everyday English
A complete, self-paced A2 Elementary English course β the natural next step after A1. Twenty-four real lessons take you from single sentences to telling stories: the past tenses, comparing and describing, talking about the future, joining ideas into longer sentences, handling real-world situations, and sharing your life experiences.
π About This Course
This is real language study that builds directly on A1. If you can already introduce yourself, talk about your routine, and describe what's around you, you're ready. Every lesson teaches actual grammar and vocabulary β with dialogues to read aloud, exercises with answers, a hands-on speaking project, and a reflection journal.
It follows the CEFR A2 ("Waystage") level: the language you need to describe your past and future, handle everyday situations while traveling, and have short social conversations about familiar topics.
What You'll Be Able to Do
- Talk about the past β what you did, where you were, and how it was
- Tell a simple story with past-tense verbs
- Compare people, places, and things (bigger, the best, more interesting)
- Talk about quantities β food, shopping, how much and how many
- Make plans and predictions about the future (going to, will, might)
- Talk about your life experiences with the present perfect (and for/since, just/already/yet)
- Give advice and talk about rules (should, have to, must)
- Tell stories with the past continuous and say how life used to be
- Join ideas into longer sentences β first conditional, relative clauses, and linking words
- Handle real situations: travel & directions, eating out, shopping, and the doctor
Who This Course Is For
- Self-study learners who have finished A1 (or know the basics) and want to reach an everyday, conversational level
- Classroom students β every lesson has speaking tasks that work in pairs or groups
- Teachers looking for a ready-made, sequenced A2 syllabus
π‘ New here? Start with A1 first
This course assumes you know present-tense basics (to be, present simple, common vocabulary). If that's not solid yet, begin with English Foundations (A1) and come back β A2 will feel easy after it.
π The 24 Lessons
Work through the lessons in order β each one builds on the last. Modules 1β4 build your core grammar, starting with the past tense β the biggest new tool of A2; Modules 5β8 take you into storytelling, joining ideas, real-world situations, and talking about your life.
Module 1 Β· Talking About the Past
Meet the past simple β the tense that lets you tell stories and share what happened, starting with was and were.
Module 2 Β· Describing & Comparing
Compare things, talk about quantities, and say how often and how well you do things.
Module 3 Β· Talking About the Future
Three ways to talk about what's coming: plans, predictions, and arrangements.
Module 4 Β· Experiences & Advice
Talk about your life so far, handle rules and advice, and reach your halfway milestone.
Module 5 Β· Telling Stories
Bring the past to life: the past continuous, past-tense storytelling, and how life used to be.
Module 6 Β· Joining Ideas Together
Build longer, more natural sentences with conditionals, relative clauses, and linking words.
Module 7 Β· Getting Things Done
Real-world English: travel & directions (with listening practice), eating out & shopping, and health & appointments.
Module 8 Β· Experiences, Plans & Review
Deepen the present perfect, master verb patterns, and tell your whole life story in the capstone.

π§ How to Study This Course
- One lesson at a time, in order. Each lesson builds on the last β don't skip.
- Speak out loud. Read every dialogue and example aloud. Fluency is a physical habit.
- Do the project. Each lesson ends with a real speaking task β that's where learning sticks.
- Keep the journal. A few minutes of reflection after each lesson doubles what you remember.
- Review A1 when needed. If a form feels shaky, go back β reviewing is how it becomes automatic.
π§ A word before you begin
A2 is where English stops being a list of words and starts being a way to tell your life β your past, your plans, your experiences. It's normal to feel like the grammar is growing; that's a sign you're saying more real things. Add the word yet to any doubt, and let's go. π±
